Beckman Coulter is now looking for a Commodity Specialist! We are now seeking a hardworking, driven individual to work as a Commodity Specialist with a growing manufacturer of biomedical testing instruments in Porterville, California 93257.
This is a challenging role. The incumbent plans and buys one or more specific commodities consistent with total quality, cost, and schedule requirements. This person must keeps abreast of industry trends for assigned commodities that may affect quality, cost, availability, and/or risk. Also establishes and maintains supplier relationships to minimize risk and disruptions and manages the supplier base and contract adherence.
Qualifications:
- 3 Years Purchasing Experience OR a recent graduate with a strong interest in working as a buyer, purchasing agent, or in procurement
- A Bachelors Degree
- Working knowledge of Oracle, Excel, Lotus Notes
- EMP experience (not required but a plus)
